But how you torture me when
You force me to live.
I really tried my best to translate the emotion behind 生きている to English, as it's one of my most powerful poems, in my opinion. It's not easy to capture the same feeling and meanings when transitioning between languages, and the fact that Japanese only has 17 morae while English has 17 syllables, makes it extra difficult, as morae are much more restrictive and 17 only allows for one or two words/ideas/images in Japanese per line, while in English you can fit full sentences. Still, I did my best, ehehe.
