the sound filters down,
and i fill with elation,
laughing.
i can hear you
even from so far away,
you always were loud.
big sister,
i know you always guarded me,
and you always loved me.
you were my knight in shining armor
when no one else would come.
you will forever be my
north star,
my shade spot on a sunny day.
big sister, you make me smile
even when no one else can.
though you have your faults,
we all do,
you're still my blood, my family.
