I knew you'd wait till after midnight To call me, you and I have always been scared of the light I knew you'd wanna see me But you'd need an excuse It's too hard to be seen clearly I was thinkin of one, too But I was afraid that I wouldn't last long enough to help Either you'd break me down Or I'd just do it to myself I waited by the phone I could hardly breathe By the time I finally heard your voice I'd forgotten what I need I was in deep You were in disbelief You had me so wide awake Now I just want to sleep I don't know if we're in love Or just scared of real life

Scared of the Light
