You promised me the world And left me to explore it on your own Said I can show you things But can't see them for you You're right That's true I just thought that you might Want me next to you I can't be Alaska But you don't know that if you'd asked it I would've tried with all of my might To shine as bright as the Northern Lights for you I know that we had high hopes But somewhere I timeline became a tightrope Now I don't know which way to go I can't build our home all on my own
