Tip Toe | ReBecca DeFazio I fell in love with your tiptoeing; quietly and carefully you would find your way to my heart. Climbing up my ribcage so slowly to make sure that you never touched my lungs, never shattering a bone, never causing too much heavy breathing; heart safety was your highest priority. You never forced anything, when you got caught in my blood stream and it took you for a ride away from my heart, you swam against the current. You did everything you could, fought when my body saw you as a threat, whispered into my mind’s eye over and over again, “you are loved, you are loved, YOU are LOVED.” Never imposing your name, spreading something wild like a flame into my soul; self love coming before you ever touched the softest parts of me, making sure that we could be complete… I loved you. I love you. I love us. I love your tiptoeing.
