The year's first week is over, The work has all been done, It's time to cast the shackles off, And go in search of fun. But supplies of fun are running low, Just now, none to be had, I didn't **** when I was young, I really wasn't bad. Instead I write a diary post, To while the time away, Shared glass of wine, a cosy chat, Would be my goal today. I have to think that very soon, I'll have that glass of wine, A little smile, perhaps a laugh, The reward will all be mine. I live in hope with little doubt, Its the only way to be, That perhaps much sooner than I think, The smile will be for me.
