To be in McLaren MTC,
That really would be cool,
I hope this competition's real,
Not an early April fool.
A dedicated petrol head,
Who's driven an F1 car,
A Benetton in Spain last year,
Not a Prost, or Jaguar,
Would love to see the inside track,
See inside a first class team,
To sit and sip the atmosphere,
Would fulfil a long held dream
To be sat there in race control,
Just as the race is run,
Aside from being a privilege,
Would really be such fun.
So in picking out a winner,
It's very clear to see,
You need to look no further,
The one to pick is me !

There is no hidden message,
But, that shouldn't stop a friend,
From sending get well wishes,
To speed your illness to the end.
Think happy thoughts, put on a smile,
You'll find that your malaise,
Will pack it's bags, admit defeat,
Within the next few days.

The year's first week is over,
The work has all been done,
It's time to cast the shackles off,
And go in search of fun.
But supplies of fun are running low,
Just now, none to be had,
I didn't **** when I was young,
I really wasn't bad.
Instead I write a diary post,
To while the time away,
Shared glass of wine, a cosy chat,
Would be my goal today.
I have to think that very soon,
I'll have that glass of wine,
A little smile, perhaps a laugh,
The reward will all be mine.
I live in hope with little doubt,
Its the only way to be,
That perhaps much sooner than I think,
The smile will be for me.
