As I fight through the branches and lay wounded in the corpse-full trenches I think about life and how transient it is Will I make it back to you, darling, will you be able to make it through, will Brian stand the pain while the roaring rain outside continuously tumbles down from the sky Will he break down and cry if I don't make it back But now I tell you don't shed a tear, perdure without me and withdraw from fear With every step you take I'll be there And if you fall and break I'll be there to catch you and keep you safe If I don't make it back...
