My life is a string Too tiny it can snap My life is a rock Too heavy, it’s a burden My life is not a story That I can share with a smile. I survived a hurricane I escaped a drought A heat wave just concluded Yet I am still alive Writing… I wander alone in this world A world ‘we’ are so many While they, ‘them’ live a lavish life We are ravished recklessly Wondering… All I need is someone to call mine A shoulder to lean on A shoulder to cry on But still my shoulder rejects my soul Lamenting… September 4, 2015
