Miles behind my back I’m сhasing the lucky star I’ve worn my shoes out But the goal is still far away I was so foolish and crazy I was so foolish and crazy I guess I should have known It was just a mirage The charms of beauty and glamour Is fading like an evening glow I have a penny in my pocket And shards of broken bones I read your burned letters I catch smoke with my hands And grass is growing under my feet All the time I was just standing here I was so foolish and crazy I was so foolish and crazy I guess I should have known It was just a mirage
