stagnant pain, an unhealing cut

future looking dimmer
letting my body simmer
drowning, a pool of shame
thoughts i cannot change
embarrassed and alone
my struggles now well known
time has passed
only depression has amassed
lost in rehabilitation
happiness, my deprivation
