To live a life that I never known Is to love a woman who never shown I saw her once at the dusk of summer To fall and spring at the end of winter With summer returning and hopes raising To see her again would be surprising I stayed up late nights to see if she'd come To no avail my hopes had run To my great enjoyment I spoke too soon I'll call you early to make plans for noon.
