It’s times like this
When I’m alone and scared
That I wonder if
You ever cared.
All this time
I’d hoped it was so
But I can see now
That the answer was no.
I feel like a fool;
I played right into your game.
But I’d do it all again
And I’ll never feel the same.
I thought that you loved me
But in the end I was wrong.
Who would have known
That forever doesn’t last so long.
