that people utter
are pure hogwash?
but they never
seem to realise
they speak in limbo
in the routine of life
their ignorance does feverishly grow
a pattern of banal thought
has been hard-wired with time
false confidence takes full rein
catastrophic is the outcome
habits are insidious and too soon
harden like immutable stone
those around have had enough
leaving the speakers to their silly own.
