I will never amount to your deft hands The life you lend to art lives on, withstands The standard of beauty, the test of eyes Beginning with the heart, ending with sighs Have no mercy on them, those observant Let them into your soul, burn them fervent With your passion guide your marks unperturbed Allow life into your hands, undisturbed You were my only companion, my friend My only ally on which to depend The only one who read my precious prose You were always my favorite desert rose

Jill
I will never amount to your deft hands The life you lend to art lives on, withstands The standard of beauty, the test of eyes Beginning with the heart, ending with sighs Have no mercy on them, those observant Let them into your soul, burn them fervent With your passion guide your marks unperturbed Allow life into your hands, undisturbed You were my only companion, my friend My only ally on which to depend The only one who read my precious prose You were always my favorite desert rose
There's only a finite amount of friends you'll have, and even more finite than that will those friends turn out to be completely worthy of your trust and companionship. Sometimes you find that someone that shares your pain in the most organic way possible and for that I am grateful to Jill.
