I remember you, all plain and empty Your towers and sidewalks were mere thoughts I see your smoke, as it’s made Billows of twists and haphazard crisscross I remember you, do you realize? That I was the one that saw you when you were so young So faint Do you remember? I don’t mean to push you, you were just a half a thought back then And even so, we spent so long together I remember that day, when it was just you and I And we were simple and organic Your buildings so silly, your true face still hidden I smiled And I like to think sometimes That you smiled back

Do you remember me? When your body was in my hands? I crafted your towers, your sidewalks and life Through capable hands I made your mind out of split ends Billows of smoke, of twists and haphazard crisscross Don’t you know me? Your friend your father? That I was there when you were so young, I would see you there after I remember you, so small and transparent, your body so frail so faint You were beautiful, do you remember? I don’t mean to push you, my child, my dear sweet thing You were just half a thought back then We spent all those days together, you and I When you were ink and I was the pen We were so simple, we were organic My very blood on the canvas, your body my mind I smiled back then, just as I do now And I like to think back to those days of simple solemnity That you smiled back

I will never amount to your deft hands The life you lend to art lives on, withstands The standard of beauty, the test of eyes Beginning with the heart, ending with sighs Have no mercy on them, those observant Let them into your soul, burn them fervent With your passion guide your marks unperturbed Allow life into your hands, undisturbed You were my only companion, my friend My only ally on which to depend The only one who read my precious prose You were always my favorite desert rose

Do you remember how we met In that dark room, our own vignette Your words were always faint My motions dawned in deep restraint Do you remember how we met Behind closed eyes please don’t forget I shivered at your hand, gently Each movement shocked me differently Do you remember how we met Alone, broken, passions unmet Escaping through our skin we sung Closed off from the world, just body, and tongue
