after the brokenness
comes the dull ache
the numbness...
so ******* numb
I'm done.
done with everything.
done with nothing.
and so I write these sonnets
because I need to remember what it feels like
to feel
to laugh
to feel the sunshine warm my bones
get rid of this numbness
let these words flow
and eradicate
completely eradicate
