She stood in the kitchen Heels together, wearing all black Her favorite color I cannot stop from grinning Butterflies every time But the winter changed us “Does it matter?” she snaps Her voice is cold I wish I knew then That she was already gone And she would take the floor from beneath my feet Between love and frustration Between sorrow and joy There she remains in my heart
