Walking along the path today I spotted the humming bird he hovered s l o w l y   r o s e until almost out of sight Then in the blink of an eye he made a terrific dive and hovered once more and repeated his question: *"Darling do you love me? Will you be my bride? Will you raise your lovely children, with me by you side? Will you marry me?"* slowly again he rose and dove repeating "(my) Love?!"

The Humming Bird's Question

©Sunshine Beam Today I saw a Rufous Hummingbird while on a walk.  He was making a courtship display. It was very lovely to watch, especially the sudden, tremendous dive! I imagined the lighthearted chatter to his beloved as his porposal in the poem. And the sudden sound he made at the end of his dive as "Love?!"
