Someone's in my head. But it's not me. They whisper sweet words that pierce my soul and shatter my self-confidence. I hate them, but I need them to stay. They push me down when I'm already on the ground and they spit in my face. It hurts, but the pain is a familiar sensation. They look the other way like I'm not even there and I don't blame them. I wouldn't want to be seen with me either.
