You had given up by the 1970s, Just as I realised the 'art' in accountancy is to reveal the beauty in the numbers; and later, writing contracts for a living, that 'art' is in the beauty of the words. Refer to her 1921 poem in the Norton Anthology, which I paraphrase: "Poetry... I too dislike it ... Reading it however with a perfect contempt for it, one discovers in it after all, a place for the genuine ..."
