There is only so much you,
As a person
Can do,
To keep someone
Who doesn't want to stay.
If they have their mind set
To leave
And that trying
Won't do anything,
You can't make them stay.
Keeping them in your life
Will make things worse.
It will make them
Want to escape.
It will make them feel
Suffocated.
