Baking warm chocolate chip cookies
For every single person (including the cat)
So no one felt left out
She mixed and mixed
With that big wooden spoon
Not one single person
Got to lick it
with their fat strawberry tongues
And no one felt left out
She's obsessed
And is baking for
The children she has yet to have
And the husband she has yet to love
And the coworkers at the stable job she hasn't yet gotten the degree for
But she needs them all
So she doesn't feel left out
