Some things, like this, when you read them, they smack you in the face with how true they are, like reading something you've read a thousand times before (even though you haven't), like an ancient proverb (except it isn't).... something that strikes me as so true it's like something I've known my whole like, but maybe had just forgotten, like, last week, and just needed a little reminder to remember what I've always known. I don't know if that makes any sense, but I guess what I'm trying to write is just how much sense this poem makes to me.
