I wonder Hanny, if we poets don't enjoy picking at the scabs of the repairing heart;  don't enjoy seeing the blood ooze from the scar tissue forming; don't enjoy the associated pain ~ for its in such pain that we get 3/4 of our inspiration. Poetry like a salve, like a bandage, might work if we don't keep looking and picking at the injuries - then again what do psychologists know (or I for that matter?)
