Well, the title definitively got my attention since I love Rimbaud, and was curious about saudade (also, love the word play).

saudade:Saudade (European Portuguese: [s&#592;w&#712;&#240;a&#240;&#616;], Brazilian Portuguese: [saw&#712;dadi] or [saw&#712;dad&#658;i], Galician: [saw&#712;&#240;a&#240;e]; plural saudades)[1] is a word in Portuguese and Galician that has no direct translation in English. It describes a deep emotional state of nostalgic or profound melancholic longing for an absent something or someone that one loves. Moreover, it often carries a repressed knowledge that the object of longing may never return

I suppose one could interpret this piece through that lense, but I really don't take it as that nostalgic. I feel this is a bit more playful with a side-dish of nostalgia.

In some ways, this is like an "inventory" poem, or even a symbolic listing of objects which somehow tie together beneath the logical stratum (which is sorta like all poetry).

Anyhow, I'm just rambling now, but I did like it overall, esp "humming bird hearts" and "supermarket polaroids". Did a good job of conveying a sorta sterile scene.
