Day by day I wait,
Night by night I forget,
Something inside makes me lose control.
Confusion I can't hide, only wanting to escape this world.
But, then I hear him say these words:
"I love you, forever and for always Babe".
My heart sets on fire, for he is the one I blame.
For his spoken words he conveys to me,
Leaves me with nothing more, but happiness.
Now I know he is mine to keep.
Everyday I wake, feeling I can't go on
As though I have to break,
The chains that keeps me locked up.
As I'm down to my last breath, the voice in the back of my head
Reminds me there is so much left unsaid.
So I get back up from my hands and knees,
Determined to find all that I seek.
The words begin to cross my mind,
As I stop in complete silence.
I hear him say those words one last time;
"I love you, forever and for always Babe".
I take a deep breath and reply back with a smile on my face.
As I stare deeply into his eyes:
"I love you too Babe".
