the worst part of people dying young is the assumption.
you assume how their life would have turned out.
you assume how the relationship between you two would either blossom or wilt.
even the little details get brushed with assumption.
how would his grades look in high school?
who would his next crush be?
“he would love this band” - but would he?
you will develop your own idea of who this person is.
when people ask you about him,
you’ll answer as if he has told you himself;
but he hasn’t and he never will.
there are things you will never know about him
and you will have to learn to be okay with that.
