We come across people
Some have known all our lives, some we don't even know their name
But for those we know, they could be strangers
We don't know if they're in any pain

This may be a person you know
They're everyone around us
They need help, they're sinking low

There's the girl with the scars on her wrist
She's never felt good enough
She puts up a wall keeping people from her
She lets no one in, they can't see that her life is tough

This may be a person you know
They're everyone around us
They need help, they're sinking low

There's the boy with the black hoodie
He uses drugs to escape
He hates everyone
No one can see his life is dark behind that black drape

This may be a person you know
They're everyone around us
They need help, they're sinking low

She tries to cut away the pain
She's caught in the rain
He tries to lose control of what he's feeling
Little by little his sanity is fleeing

This may be a person you know
They're everyone around us
They need help, they're sinking low

**All of this we may never know
