These days don’t
say I love you like
you do.

Like you do.

I must imagine you near.
Your throne awaits
my king
The way the soldiers
stand so tall
like you do.

Like you do.

I can sense you close
now as the wind washes
this away.

Searching for the dragons
among us to take away the pain.
like you do.

Like you do.

Falling from the dreaming sky
cutting myself on it’s edges.
these nights don’t whisper
to me like you do.

Like you do.

Cold and alone
with only my thoughts
of you to keep me warm.

Like you do.
