Here I sit
In a catatonic fit
Awaiting no awake.
You may read on
But my story is wrong,
And will simply make you ache.
I found myself here not so long ago,
How I got here I do not know.
I lost my sanity.
I drifted into infinity.
But here I’ll decay
Nothing left to say.
Hoping cigarettes will spark a conversation.
They said all I needed was medication.
But all the kings horses and all the kings men
Couldn’t put me back together again.
I just wanted to get my face out,
Find out what life’s all about.
But I dove in head first.
I watch reality burst
Into a million sparks and flames
Licking like snake tongues untamed.
They say I’ve lost focus.
Like I’ve eaten a lotus
To be stuck here nevermore
In a world of metaphors.
I’ll look out my window
See the things I’ll never know.
Evaporate into a nimbus.
My path was much to sinuous
When my feet were on the ground
And my head was able to move me around.
I think I’ve lost touch.
Guess I did a little much.
Trying to find myself
I got lost
And found everybody else.
