Oh, love is the food of the soul
and music its drink
Oh, if I could sing a song
I would sing of You
of how the life of My soul
dances to the beat of your heart
that there is nothing you do not love
Oh, My loneliness is a desert
Oh, such a forlorn desert
without your love
I would be without hope without You
oh, what pain
so many miles You are gone from Me
every mile a stab of pain to the heart
Oh, but how I can feel your heart beating still
Oh, how to My soul and Your soul
mile do not exist
at night I walk with You in My dreams
Oh, I see your face in My dreams
and then I wake without You
but My soul is still with You
you and Me hand in hand
our hearts connected
like invisible threads
running from My heart to Yours
Oh, for where love is miles are not
