How she could
always
glance onto
the beach
for hours and hours
at a time;
her thoughts
lost beautifully
deeply at sea.
Escaping her reality.
The clashing sound
of the waves
soothed her
to the very core
of her
existence
while the breeze
of the ocean
played
innocently with her hair
as if they were
two small children
running together
happily
whilst holding hands
with no worries
whatsoever.
How her face
was
translucent
enough
that you could tell
when she missed
the ocean
and its mysteries.
