ROADS AND VALLEYS

I'VE BEEN HERE BEFORE

WALKED AND SLEPT AMONG THEM ONLY A BLANKET OF STARS TO COVER ME AGAINST THE CHILL OF THE NIGHT WINDS

WALKED THEM WHEN THE ROADS WERE ONLY

PATHWAYS

ITS VALLEYS YET TO BE

MARKED EACH PATHWAY, CUT DEEP EACH VALLEY

NOW AS I KNEEL

BEFORE THE RISING WATERS

STARING AT MY MORNING REFLECTION

MY HANDS WITH FINGERS BENT AS GNARLED TWIGS

CUPPED TO WASH AWAY THE NIGHT

MY MINDS EYE TRAVELS

EACH ROAD WALKED EACH VALLEY TREAD

THROUGH MY REFLECTION
