The Cruel Sea
You call to me
Where moonlight sparkles
Light diamonds set on a velvet sea
I dream
Where the waters swell
And the sirens dwell
You talk to me
And fill my soul
With your stories of love
And of oceans deep
Where the big sleep sets me free...
The waters retreat
Beneath my feet
Floating away
They carry me back home
Form the empty skies
The vagrant sea birds roam
To the storms that lash
And cut me to bone
The rising tide will kiss my face
And wash the pain away...
