Loneliness and broken wings
A caged bird that never sings
Desperation is so vast
They weep of such sad pasts
Cry into the night does he
Scream in fright of him does she
Chained down by the same insanity
That comforts them and lets them see
The dark monsters they have set free
Upon the rest of humanity
He licks a tear drop from her eye
Bring to her solace he must try
Rescue her from the consuming nightmare
His eyes gaze at hers with that piercing stare
He yearns to grab her and make her stay
But he knows she's just too far away
Choking and sobbing his hate burns white-hot
For the pain that he feels inside will not be forgot
He's drawn it from her the saint that he be
To lessen the burden she's carried heavily.
His heart is leaden with too much despair
For a ***** whose life he'll never share.
