I’m getting kinda tired of the streetlights
Passing by me on these summer nights.
I just pace around for a new direction
One that finally deserves my attention.

I look up to the sky, to my love so divine
Asking and praying for a glimpse or a sign
To what might steady all the reason and rhyme
Of days still to come that are racing with time.

It’s increasing my patience, but it’s making me itch
This wait I endure with a nervous twitch.
I’ll hold on to this hope, though you find it strange;
I will break suburbia, and my life will change.
