I wake up in your arms this morning
My skin burns with the heat of the dawn
And the heat of this heart blazing
Beneath the bones in my chest

I want to wake up every morning
With your hands keeping me together

You are my guard
You are the tender skin that shrouds
My inmost dynamism

I breathe a shallow breath
And slip back into the dark rest
That is sleeping in your arms
