Sunshine.1

When you say, slow down, I know, you do not mean it. And when your eyes, they crinkle in such sync with your nose, So perfectly, As you just found out, the sun can't shine in our town tonight. And when the rain, hits your face just so, Makes your eyes glisten louder than the clear rain. And as you try to prove right and wrong, Stumbling, When I was right, all along. And when you spoke so gently, About something so heavy, Only to hear the bell go, We stood so still, Silent, And heard the drizzle Disappear. Felt the warmth, On our damp backs... Feeling more than just moisture. But, Just this once, I might pretend fantasy is not always so wrong.
