I've known you since we were little.
Even then, your feeling were brittle.
However, you never came across as innocent.
At times (I must admit) almost belligerent.
I knew when we were nine, that you had a History.
And I didn't know what was behind the way you would look at me.
Most would see our story as just "long enough"
But the look in your eyes makes me want to know what makes your life so tough.
There is something about you that I will never be able to explain.
And it is the same thing-
That makes it hard to pull away,
That makes me want to stay,
That makes me want to say
Exactly what you want to hear.
Which probably sounds like, "I'll always be here."
