The number of bills,
that you have in your bank,
won't change how happy you are.
The gifts that you buy,
for the people you've hurt,
won't lessen the size of the scar.

The speed of your car,
is not fast enough,
to give you an early start.
The size of your wallet,
is not big enough,
to fill up your empty heart.

These physical things,
may seem to fulfill;
when really they're only a lie.
You can purchase,
anything you'd like;
happiness, you cannot buy.
