Oh, they say that the opposite of love
is hate
Oh, I know its not so
for who has not hated and loved
a thing at the same time
for the opposite of love to never love
Oh, it is the deadliest poison
a silver bullet aimed at My heart
Oh, what a dark and cold thing
is more deadly than to love
and then to receive only the cold and dark in return
Oh, what a cold and slimy snake
with its unblinking inhuman eyes
would encircle My heart
squeezing ever tighter and tighter
with every thought that You love Me not
of the ice and cold in Your heart
Oh, how You hold the power of life
and of death
over the life of My soul
Oh, how can I live without You?
You who would melt Me in Your lovely eyes
Oh, the heart stops the clock
for want of an answer to
"Do You love Me?"
and with its answer the heart
and the clock ticks on
to pleasure or woe
Oh, My eternity is in Your hands My love
Oh, You are such a lovely and sacred thing to My soul
how one slight touch of Your skin
is sacred
Oh, nexus of the universe
Oh, how brighter and more lovely than all the angels
how Your bright eyes shine with power
to bring to life by shining down Your love
or destroy by taking it away
surly You must be some ancient goddess
born in the fires of creation
Oh, how I worship You oh goddess
Oh, the worlds and galaxies that can be seen in Your eyes
Oh, to look into Your face
is to forever lose My soul
Oh, how I am condemned to a hopeless and blessed love
Oh, I plead for Your love
as though it were a final judgement
Oh, goddess shine down Your love
on this forlorn and desperate creature
My body...My soul...My all
is not My own
Oh, You the most precious gem the universe
shine down on Me in love
and let all not be lose
