Imaginary Friend

I am your imaginary friend

I sit patiently

And listen

The comfort of my translucent shoulders

Harbours tired tears

And lost hope

I understand

And offer silent words

The need for heartfelt intention

Falls to me

Invisibility is my disguise

Yet I am here

To love, to hold, to listen

For those who need me most

I see you at your darkest

You see through me that

Which is hard to come by

I see you at your worst

Do you ever see me too?

I am your imaginary friend.
