Eternal friend.

There came that dreaded time in life

when despair knocked at my door

I felt a hurt so deep inside

as if no one had before.

My reality seemed hard to face

the road I walked so mean

Loneliness hung overhead

trust and love were lean.

Relationships once solid

were gone without a trace

I delight now in my gift from God,

my eternal friends of faith.
