Sitting by the creek
Hearing the water flow
As my mind begins to wander
And time begins to slow

The current of the water
Seems to carry my burdens away
No matter how stressful
Or tiring was the day

It's a great place to think
To meditate and such
Without the world's noise
I appreciate it so much

Even when I can't physically get there
In my mind I can visit it at will
My natural anti-depressant
No need of chemicals or a pill

So if you see me sometime
Looking with an absent stare
Know I am down at the creek
In my mind, spending some time there.
