There are certain things
I wish I could change.
LikeΒ  how the sun rises so fast,
You never have enough time
To be alone with the clear night sky.
And how the winter
Only lasts so long,
It's never enough for me
The short coldness of
The tender grey skies.

There are certain things
I wish I could change.
Like the way you smile
Only to her face,
So real and genuine.
I wish you'd always smile,
But never only to her face.
And the way I don't own you no more,
I wish I could change that.
But the world is cruel
And I'm no longer willing to fight.
No longer wishing
I could certain things change
