Pseudo-mom
I wanted you
Not in the typical way
I didn't want to
Hold your hand
Or kiss you.
I wanted nothing of the sort
I wanted you
In the most innocent sense
I wanted you to hug me
Bring my tears to a halt
And tuck me in at night
I wanted you to love me
Not in the "you're like a
Daughter" sense,
But in the
"You're my daughter
And I wouldn't trade you
For the world" way.
