Yellow mango
flesh perched
on ruby red lips,

her elbow
propped on the
bar, watching
the leaving
ships,

News crackles
of a major hurricane,

tourist are
leavin

locals are
stayin

When the
surge subsided,
far inland it
reached

her body
was found
washed up
on the beach

the seas dead calm
the wind's mouth
zipped.

They knew it
was her by her
ruby red lips.
