It is no longer just you and I,
No more castles in the air and heads in the clouds,
No longer dreams and aspirations.
It’s what many call reality!

It’s easy to draw up what you want, what you want your future to be like.
What car you’re going to drive, how big your house will be.
How many kids you will have, their names, the schools they’ll go to.
And maybe the dress you will be wearing to your wedding,
Who you will be saying their vows to.
But what are we left with when reality hits?

No longer do you wonder how it will all turn out,
No longer do you wonder who the vows will be said to,
All dreams and aspirations somehow evaporate, slip through your fingers.
And frustration steps in…

When reality hits…What do we have left?
Broken dreams, shattered hope and wavering faith?
