Tonight's your night,
You dress the part,
It's been too long, the time has come
To mend your broken heart.

The man that you stood with,
For over two long years,
Left you standing all alone,
Reducing you to tears.

It was the wedding disaster,
That every young girl dreads,
Your bridesmaids cried along with you,
The men just shook their heads.

You think to yourself that is the past,
And this here, is the now,

As you slip into your evening dress,
For a night out on the town.

A skintight, black velvet dress,
Trimmed in satin lace,
Then off to the mirror,
To put on your face.

Just a hint of the basics,
But never too much more,
For your mother always taught,
To not look like a *****.

Soon after, you're ready,
And head out to your car,
Thirty minutes later,
you arrive outside the bar.

Though you've never been here,
Your friends had bragged it grand,
Whether going for drinks,
Or rocking out with the band.

You walk in and notice,
Your friends had not been wrong,
As the band starts to cover,
Your favorite Toadies song.

"Make up your mind",
You hear the lead singer say,
And after a second or two,
Your hips begin to sway.

You dance up to the bar,
And as you order your drink,
The stranger standing on the end,
Nods and gives a wink.

Flattered, you flirt back,
Though shyly at first,
He's a tall drink of water,
And you're dying of thirst.

His body's built perfect,
His black hair so straight,
He seems so much different,
Than all your usual dates.

Remarkably dressed,
In black suit and red tie,
A voice in your head tells you,
This is the right guy.

You drift ever closer,
Entranced by his charm,
Until you finally feel yourself,
Dancing safely in his arms.

After a couple of hours,
And a few more cocktails,
You leave with the stranger,
A new wind in your sails.

He drives you home,
Since you're too drunk to drive,
And once you are there,
You invite him inside.

He agrees to watch a movie,
He agrees, to your delight,
After thumbing through your DVD's,
you insert the disc, Twilight.

As you both snuggle closely,
Waiting for the show,
You feel a warm tingling,
from your head down to your toes.

This is it, he's the one,
You think, as the movie begins,
Then he gently runs his finger,
From your thigh down to your shin.

His hand gently finds its way,
Back to your inner thigh,
Ecstasy overcoming you,
you let a little sigh.

He leans over and kisses you,
Though only just a peck,
Then he gently turns your head,
To nibble on your neck.

He gently kisses along your neck,
Sending shivers down your spine,
If he keeps this up, you think,
I'm gonna make him mine.

Suddenly, before you know,
You feel a sharper pinch,
Blood trickles down between your *******,
You're too scared to even flinch.

He looks at you and licks his lips,
And laughs at you in spite,
"Vampyres never fall in love,
You stupid *****, we bite"
